VAIL YOUTH BALLET COMPANY
Vail Valley Academy of Dance, with the support of Friends of the Dance, provides its technically proficient students the opportunity to audition for inclusion in the Vail Youth Ballet Company. The Company dancers have additional performance opportunities throughout the year such as The Nutcracker and Student Showcase.
The Vail Youth Ballet Company has had the opportunity to work with such artists as Richy Romero, Roberto Munoz and many others. Company members are also exposed to many guest teachers and choreographers such as Joanne Whitehill from Burklyn Ballet Theatre, Sarah Tallman from Wonderbound, and Lauren O’Leary from LOimpact.
Ashley Calligan is the Artistic Director of VVAD and VYBC and brings to the studio and stage a lifetime of experience in the art and discipline of ballet.
Rehearsals and performances are separate from classroom work and participation in the Company requires sincere dedication and commitment on the part of the dancer and parents.
